Hey guys!
I know it's been FOREVER since you last heard from me but… Well, the first good news is that I'm still alive!
Lol!
And the second one is that an update to"Awkward Thirty Year Old Virgins" "Worth Living For" ( thelostgirl21.deviantart.com/a… ) is FINALLY on the way!
Okay, I know, we sort of keep saying that.
What happened is that we realized that our current Chapter was getting INCREDIBLY, RIDICULOUSLY LONG… So we've decided to split it more or less halfway through.
That first half is thus already written, and only needs to be proofread and formatted before it can be published.
The second half is almost done, too… We basically just need to conclude the current scene we are working on, and wrap things up!
Oh, and a new pairing (besides MShenko) has also been introduced to the story (I foresee a lot of tears in the future).

My life's been a little hectic lately (lots of medical investigations, among other things), and I've been having a bit of trouble keeping track of everything I need to do.

Some more ManShep / Kaidan fangirling...

More seriously though, I just felt like sharing a few vids with other fans.
They were made by DanaDuchy on YouTube, and contain some extra M!Shenko recorded lines that didn't make it into the actual game (along with some others that did). I think that she did a very nice job of editing them so that they sound like an actual conversation.
Also, for those of you reading my story, I may have borrowed a line or two from there.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S6VlA… (It seems that Shepard is talking to Kelly in that one... And the intro seems to suggest that he and Kaidan slept together in ME1. It's hard to pinpoint where that was meant to happen in the game. A psychological evaluation / consultation with Kelly, maybe?)
Also, playing ME1 again is a lot less painful than I expected it to be! Lol! I never thought that I would ever say that but... I'd kinda missed the old Mako. Although this Shepard still has no clue how to drive that thing!
My partner came into the room the other day while "Shepard" was driving right through a bunch of mountains (Roads and paths? Pffft! Don't need them! The best way to get from point A to point B is a straight line! No matter what's in the way! Onward, let's go!), and he immediately said "I hope your squad members are all equipped with little brown paper bags in there. There's no way anyone can be inside that thing and not get sick!"
Also, once you get used to the fact that the spacebar no longer allows you to do virtually everything, you're fine! And that crouching command... How did I ever live without it?

ManShep / Kaidan, my new obsession...

Seriously, just how much more adorable can a ME couple get? 
Don't get me wrong, I am still just as much into FemShep / Kaidan (my original play through, that will always hold a very special place in my heart) and FemShep / Garrus (Hmmm... That turian!) as I ever was! But I feel that lately, ManShep / Kaidan has taken over my life! Lol! I simply can't get enough of them, and I can't get them out of my head either!
Thankfully, I believe that fanfiction was designed especially for that purpose...
And I've found this amazing little video that I've been watching in a loop for a few days now: www.youtube.com/watch?v=y66BH6… . I especially love the fact that the one that made it didn't use any modded scenes, so it actually follows the "real" love story.
Also, the lyrics of that song ("I'd Come For You" by Nickelback) would be just perfect for the story I am writing... Or just for any general ManShep / Kaidan romance, I suppose.
I just might have to start myself a Shenko playlist... Suggestions anyone?

This is a public apology...

...to anyone that's been stuck on the ME3 multiplayer with me... I am deeply sorry.
I am a casual player... A really really casual player that's mostly interested in ME3 for the RPG part of the game and story, not the combat.
However, since I am an obsessive-compulsive completionist who's been trying to get her EMS at the highest possible level, Bioware has left me no other choice.
Needless to say, the experience is being rather... Interesting.
I get lost on the battlefield, can't remember which way my character is facing, have trouble using my powers because you can't pause and target the damn thing! Have a knack for ending up right in front of these frakking turrets! I keep running into walls and corners... I'm having trouble getting in and/or out of cover (it seems I'm always a few centimeters off!)...
There is, however, one thing that I seem to excel at... Rushing in to revive fallen teammates, no matter the cost!
It really is my only redeeming quality on a squad!
Still, I do somewhat enjoy it. Even though I would rather play with other players that are a bit closer to my own level sometimes.
Perhaps if I refrained from playing while my parrot is trying to attack my keyboard and/or my mouse, it might help, too!
Also, this is a must see for all of us Kaidan fans that were unable to let him sacrifice himself on Virmire... The banter (and eventual romance) between Ken and Gabby that sadly triggers only if you gain Ashley's friendship (it is a bug in the game that I am hoping will eventually get fixed somehow): www.youtube.com/watch?v=klmOij…
Apparently, the "flirting" between Tali and Garrus also suffers from the same bug: www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2o_XU…

And I hope my enthusiasm doesn't seem unprofessional. I can't stop grinning.

Ever since I began playing ME3, I've kept hearing about friends having lost their ME2 saves, and suffering disastrous consequences because of it (the default choices if you start a ME3 game are mostly Renegade, and there is nothing you can do about it. Plus, you have less squad points to spend, EMS, etc.).
And quite frankly, doing a complete ME2 run just for the chance to romance Kaidan in ME3, when he's in ME2 for about 2 seconds, is a bit of a pain in the rear end.
Yesterday, I finally found this (and yes, I realize that

And decided that Matt Shepard (male paragon, romanced and stayed faithful to Kaidan...) would be just perfect for my favorite L2! I just had to personalize his looks and change his class (I had already played a sentinel, so I wanted to try an infiltrator), and voilà!
Ah! The joys of playing PC (works with XBOX 360 too, I think)! Lol!
Well, the only thing that bugged me a bit was that I couldn't choose his name... But then, what's in a name? And your parents make the choice for you anyway! Lol! So that character was "born" Matt, and now he is "my" Matt (actually, Kaidan's Matt).
I'm also pretty satisfied with his looks ( fav.me/d4v3jez ). For some reason, I find that most customized MaleSheps look really "wrong"... And having tried to customize my own, I now know why! Lol! Just looking at the noses and eyes selection made me want to bang my head on the walls.
